Wrapping -- June 26, 2007

The new program 'wrapping' started today. Five members were excited to learn how to wrap a box. They learned three ways to wrap a box; the ordinary easiest wrapping, furoshiki wrapping, and the department store wrapping. They found it quite difficult, but they are now proud of being able to wrap a box like a shop clerk at a department store.

Graphic Art Shodo--June 7,2007

Sensei introduced new material, glue( from gelatine) today.First ladies drew patterns on the post cards and washi paperswith this liquid glue. Then write letters and draw pictures with sumi ink on it. As sumi ink doesn't go into the glue patterns, the results are quite interesting . Finish with colouring and stamps.

Shodo--May 28, 2007

It's not so easy at first to write new radicals of kanjis with a brush. Ladies know that after steady lessons characterictics of each kanji of their works are getting clearer more and more.

Graphic Art Shodo--May 24,2007

Today ladies carved several lovely stamps which are good for greeting cards. As rubber is soft, you have to be very careful for handleing the tools to leave fine lines. But you see, ladeis are quite successful.

Ladies concentrated on practicing new kanjis while their children had a nice time playing together. All works are so tasteful.

Today's menu was same as Monday's group. Though dried small fish "chirimenjako" are not popular among foreigners because of the eyes, we toasted with pine nuts in a pan and mixed with lettuce, cucumbers, wakame, tofu, and original Japanesedressing. Yummy!
